When I was getting married, I really wanted something blue (Its not a part of the tradition where I come from). My sweet 80 year old grandmother entertained this desire. On my wedding day she pressed something soft into my hand. When I open my hand I held a beautiful laced handkerchief with a single beautiful blue flower in its corner. “Something blue” she whispered kissing my forehead.
Today my Granny is not here but I still have my something blue.
