Christmas is incomplete without Holly in our home. It is an elaborate ritual undertaken and executed by a now 9 year old and 7 year old. As per them its a very specialized task from start to finish for which I am just the adult hanging in the background. I love how deftly their little fingers work and how proud they are of themselves once done.
Soon they will grow up and be off in the world but I shall always have a special place for the bells of holly in my heart.
