This artwork reminded me of the saying that I would often repeat as a little girl, “an apple a day keeps the doctor away.” However once I reached teenage it had evolved into: “ an apple a day keeps the doctor away but if the doctor is handsome keep the apple away.” we would giggle ceaselessly over this variation. We grew up but those moments of carefree laughter and nonsensical chatter amongst friends still brings a fond smile to me.
